During the month of September I, for the first time in my life, discovered that I am not a bad student. I was fully prepared to struggle adapting to college, but I discovered that my efforts during high school were not useless. Though I may not have met my standart for success in high school, it turns out that I was still developing good study habits and self care techniques. This experience was fundamental to the development of my growth mindset as it taught me not to make snap judgements of myself and not to give up on myself even when something doesn't succeed. A growth mindest leaves room for improvement and searches for ways to change an outcome instead of accepting setbacks.
